Who are the Adkinettes you ask? We are a group of Trace fans who have been getting together and posting on an AOL message board
we like to call “Trace’s Place #1”.

Ten years ago, a group of women heard a voice that sounded like no other come over the airwaves. This voice was so deep and sounded like velvet and once the song was finished each of them ran to call their local radio station to find out the name of the artist who sang it. For one of them it was “There’s A Girl In Texas.” After hearing that voice the lives of this group of ladies were changed forever.

One of these ladies fell in love with the song because she knew that HAD to be singing about her since she lived in Texas. So, she MUST be the “girl in Texas”. One night she happened to be watching a show on TNN and once again she heard that voice. Only this time she was able to see him sing her song. There on her TV was this 6’7 tall hunk of a man singing to her. He wasn’t just standing at the microphone singing. Oh no. He was singing with his whole body. After watching him she HAD to find out more about this new artist Trace Adkins, so she made it her mission to find out as much as she could about him. She got on her computer and headed out into cyberspace. She found a place on America On Line where you could meet with others to talk about an artist. She was the first person to post a message about Trace Adkins and the first “Trace’s Place” was founded. From there on the fun began and it is still going strong!!

Now that there was an official meeting place for anyone  interested in this new singer, people (well..mostly ladies) were fighting to get in the doors. They loved talking about Trace. They were going crazy over his music..and..well.. maybe a little bit over the fact that he was 6’7” and had a voice that would send goose bumps (or t Trace bumps as we like to call them) from your head to your toes!! When his first video came out well let’s just say we had lots more to talk about!

After we had been together for a while we decided we needed a name for their group. Trace’s Adkinettes were born!! Many people have come through our doors and over the years we have become a big family. Most of us have met each other at concerts or at fan fair in Nashville We have enjoyed following Trace and watching his career grow from an opening act to finally getting his own big headline tour.. We also have had the pleasure of meeting Trace many times over the years and he knows all about the Adkinette’s and loves to catch up with us when we see him.

One of the things that we have enjoyed over the 10 years we have been together is our pocket adventures. We hope you will take a few minutes and check these out. They are fun adventures that we have taken many times over the years. Trace loves to get a hold of them and gets a kick out of reading all the fun his Adkinettes have been having.

Now that you have found our website. We hope you will enjoy meeting us and check out the other areas on the site. This website is a tribute to a man who has given each of so much. Who’s music has brought us together and given us a precious gift of friendship!
