ok ladies..today is
the day..whip up those favorite
summer recipes..and..fill up your
picnic baskets with all your "trace"
goodies..we are hitting the
road..and..going to the most perfect
picnic spot there is...heehee..but..you'll
just have to wait and see where that
is!!..so get yourselves ready to do
some "adkinette" "big time"
partying!! ;0)

I was posting too early in the
morning!!..while getting ready for
today's picnic..be sure to put on
your favorite "tracin" outfit..can't
go on a picnic without a special
outfit to wear!!..I know everyone
will be dieing to see what you pull
out of your picnic basket to eat..as
well as what your wearing!!! ;0)
now I know it was
cause I was posting too early...ok..this
is the last instruction for today's
picnic..the rest is going to be all
FUN!!...while packing your favorite
summer dish..and..putting on your
favorite "tracin" outfit..be
thinking about your favorite trace
story..just in case we run out of
things to do at our picnic...we can
sit and talk about our favorite
topic!!!..ok..now..going to go and
get myself ready..and..chase "mr.g"
out of the kitchen...he has his "sniffer"
going and is trying to find where I
hid my favorite summer dish!!..while
I'm chasing him out of the kitchen
with my broom...I'm going to chase
him in the direction of the "magic
bus"..so we will be hitting the road

so when I get back from "happy
hour"..we can hit the road!!..I'm a
little worried though..he found out

outfit..and..said he had just the

his idea of the "right outfit"
is...we just may have to put a
grocery bag over him so he doesn't
"embarrass" us..it will definitely
be very interesting to see what he
is going to be wearing!! ;0)

sunglasses..cause where we're going

antic..once we are under way..we'll
start sharing each of these memories
we have..and..once
that is finished..we will then all
have to describe our "tracin"
outfit... so..while we are flying in
friendly skies..going to pick up our
"adkinette" buddies..let's put our
minds to work!!!

"sidekick" has flown the coop..or we

in Colorado..so..we are stuck with "mr.g"..strange..very

starting to fill up..we have already
picked up our northern
ladies..looking good tonight Kat..I
see your still wearing your
"beverage drinking" hat..and..I see
both tubes are already filled with
your favorite beverage!!..don't
worry..the shades are only till we
get to our "perfect picnic
place"..and..I won't tell anyone
what your "tracin" outfit looks
like!!...wouldn't want to ruin the
surprise!!
we have a couple more
northern girls to pick up and then
it's off to the east.. hopefully we
will find our friend Ann waiting for
us when we go to pick up the eastern
girls..it will be so good to see
her..we all know how good Ann can be
in the "outfit" department ..remember her
cute..little "red thingy"..and..how
she always wore her "blonde helmet"
with it..now that girl can dress!!.. heehee ..just
hope she doesn't decide to bring out
her horse.. lady godiva..with all our
picnic baskets in the back..it will
be a tight squeeze to get her
on..but..guess we can always find
some room..wouldn't be an
"adkinette" reunion picnic without
them!! ;0)

bring up some memories other wise forgotten..and..believe
me..we have lots of memories to

tonight..our old friend "mr.genie"
seems to have worked his magic with
mother nature.. no rain..or clouds to
fly around..poor "mr.g"..he was
looking for some excitement up here
tonight..heehee..guess he is going
to have to make do with watching all
of you..come aboard..all decked out
in your very best.."tracin"
outfit!!..heehee..not
that he has anything to laugh
about..he is so far way ahead in his
"outfit".. I do think he will be the
winner!!..so far anyway..but
then..we still have lots of ladies
to pick up yet..and..if I remember
right..our "southern belles"..as
they like us to call them..are very
good at coming up with some
very,very interesting "tracin"
outfits.. Susy had a good one back in
the summer of 99..when she showed up
with a swim ring around her
middle..she was quite proud of
herself..since the swim ring had
trace's name going all the way
around it..she was in heaven..having
trace hugging her all day!!..and
that is just one of the many
interesting "southern belle" outfits
we had seen!! ;0)
well ladies..we might
as well settle in and enjoy the ride
south.. we have a few stops to make
along the way..before heading
west..we have added a new "southern
belle" to the list..and since we
haven't had to pick up Vicki at her
new place..it may take "mr.g" awhile
to find her..being the "great" map
reader that he is..sure hope "mr.genie"
is watching over us and doesn't let
him get too lost..I remember one
time when "mr.genie" must have been
on vacation or something and we
missed a "pocket concert" because we
got lost..and..ended up spending the
night on the "magic bus"..even
though we had lots of fun passing
the time till we were found..I don't
think we want to do that
again..especially since it has been
so hot down here!!..I think I'm
going to get all comfy and see if I
can sneak in a few "z's" while we
make it to our next
destination..keep those "thinking"
caps on..and..see what kind of
memories you can come up with to
share with all of us!! ;0)

when he "pedaled" the fans would
work.. I do believe that was the
time he wore his now famous mickey
mouse flannel boxers and his tool
time tank top..yep..he
was looking mighty fine that
night!!..a man who everyone women
would want!!..heehee.. and..lucky
me..he's mine..still!!..
here we go..we have
lots of room in here still..good
thing too.. cause now that it's
morning..it's starting to get mighty
hot!!..no..that's ok "mr.g"..you
keep driving..I think we will
survive till we get to our "perfect
picnic" spot..we only have a few
more stops to go till we have a bus

we can go and find Johnna, Regina
and Debbie..before heading this bus
towards our texas ladies!!

may have to let johnna take over the
driving job so "mr.g" can come back
here and get the "air conditioning"
going..Katie and Kathryn said it has
been hot down here..but..I think
they left a few hot's out of their
description!!..it is even hotter
than the time we went to florida in
98..heehee..I think that was the
time that Susy and Shellie wanted to
try frying an egg in the parking
lot!!..that was the same night we
got our "air conditioning" in the
bus..
well..before we put "mr.g"
on his bike..lets see how long it
takes to get our "texas" ladies on
the bus..hopefully it won't take
long then we can head towards the
west to pick up the rest of our
"western" ladies..I'm sure that "mr.g"
won't mind it when we tell him to
put the "metal to the pedal!!..his
favorite words!! ;0)

girls are all settled
in..and..looking quite "texan"..although
I see they decided not to wear the
same "texan" tracin outfits they
wore when we went to billy bob's in
98..no purple cowboy hat's with hot
pink feather's on the top..or no
lime green levi's and orange
sequined cowboy shirts..oh
well..guess your taste's have
"changed" since then huh??..but..I
know everyone will love your new texan style!!..

remember the time he took jamie's
little red wagon and turned it into
a "flying trace-mobile"..with yellow
paper plates as head lights..and
plastic silverware for
propellers!!..I thought we were all
going to die laughing when we saw
him fly over the crowd!!..that's ok

beautiful night for a picnic..what

one night during chat..way back
when..we were sharing famliy
recipes..and..Pat was telling us

well..while we all
"stuff" ourselves I'm going to bring
out our "adkinette" family albums..I
thought it might be fun to sit and
go thru them..and..see all the fun
we have had in the last 3-going on 4
years..I had so much fun going thru
them..we sure have done some
"outrageous" things!!!...here we
go...here's one from the begining..'97..you'll
find our very first "pocket
concert"..it was when Johnna went to
see trace for the first
time..boy..what a wreck you were
Johnna..and..so were we..trying to
get you all ready..I thought we were
going to have to come to Alabama to
make sure you didn't leave the house
without your clothes on!!..do you
remember what a wreck you were??..heehee..you
wouldn't stand still all night..we
had a terrible time in the
pocket.. it was before we got brave
enough to leave the pocket..so we
spent most of the night..trying to
keep our "adkinette" totem pole from
toppling over because you were
wiggling and shaking all over the
place!!..heehee..I think that was
the night we made the rule of no
high heeled shoes..or boots with
pointed toes..some of us spent the
night trying to make sure we didn't
get "spiked" ..ahhh..I also think
that we made another rule that
night..no mexican food 2 days before
a "pocket concert"!!!..right Kathyrn??
heehee..poor
Kathyrn..having her "favorite" food
being banned before a "pocket
concert"!!..but at least we did make
up for it on our way home from our
"pocket concert"..by going thru the
drive thru's so she could eat her
mexican food while we were zipping
thru cyberspace on our way
home!!..so see we weren't too
cruel..
oh look..this is
about our second "adkinette"
outing..well.. this was an "adkinette"
sleep-over..it was the night of the
awards show..trace's first awards
show..when we "kindly" asked Dave
and Jamie to go someplace else for
the night and we all plopped down on
our sleeping bags in front of the
tv..remember how we were
"frantically" trying to find the
remote!!..and..this being the age of
technology..we couldn't remember how
to change the channels manually..we
were turning everything over trying
to find it..luckily Dave called to
see how we were doing and was able
to tell us right where it was..in
the "john" of course!!..oh..and.. remember
how we almost filled the house up
with pop corn..poor
Linda..(blazel)..put just alittle
bit too much popcorn in the
pan.. and..we had popcorn
everywhere!!!...it looked like we
had had a snow storm in the
house!!..but nothing about that
night is more exciting when trace
won his award..boy..could we have
used pat's "used tissue's" that
night!! ;0)
'97 was a year a many
first's..it was the year that we
helped Steve come up with the bands
name..it was also trace's first fan
fair..first fan club party..which of
course we couldn't miss..boy did we
have fun going along for that
ride.."mr.genie" put us in the very
"best" of all pockets for that
trip..ahh yes..riding real close in
the back pocket of one very tight
pair of tall tall levi's !!..I think
we were the envy of the fan fair
ladies!!..it was a time when some of
our "adkinette's" got to meet each
other for the first time.. where was
the place you all met for dinner one
night??..ohhh..I can't think of
it..what was it Kat??..that's
it.."cock of the walk"!!..oh now
that was an outing to remember..the
"adkinette's" trying real hard to
get from Jeanne's and Pat's purse's
up to the table..I think we almost
lost you Johnna when you had to have
some pepsi and climbed up on
someone's straw..so you could try
and catch a few drops.. and Darlene
and Marisa trying to get some of
Jeanne's fish..we are very lucky
that no one got eaten that night!!

now I know you all
will remember this one..it was the
night we were introduced to trace's
now famous "pole" dance..and..his
"mo-jo-ing"!! ohhh..I thought
Darlene was going to push..plow or
tackle her way thru the crowd so she
could jump up on the stage and
permanently attach herself to that
pole!!..we spent most of the night
with our little mouths hanging wide
open..and..in a state of "trace-shock"..ohhh..yes..the
pole dance..and..mo-jo-ing!!..just
kind of melts your hearts and turns
you to mush!!..heehee..I do believe
we will see some "mo-jo-ing" tonite
Sharie..and .. if we're lucky we
just might get to see him practicing
before the show starts.. being up
here on top of trace's tour bus is
going to give us many opportunities
to see lots of good stuff!!..yep..this
is going to be a real good place to
be tonite!! ;0)

them..and..I printed them all out
and hung them on the fridge so we

hard to believe that we have been
married for 19years..they sure have
gone by fast..guess it's true that

history!!..this is the book from
"98..i think this year was one year
that you ladies were bound and
determined to not only climb up
trace's mic-pole..but wanted to stay
on it..anxiously awaiting the "pole
dance" I presume!!!..heehee..boy..did
you all come up with some crazy ways
to get there..one that really sticks
in my mind is when you tied some
string..not sure where the string
came from..but..you tied it to our
friend..and..partner in many
"adkinette" crimes..steve's guitar
stand..then..climbed up on
it..and..slid all the way from the
guitar stand to the micpole.. heehee ..I
see some of you are unconsciously
rubbing your backsides!!..you must
have been the ones who landed on the
stage floor instead of the
pole!!..then there was the night
Dana, Tracey and Jeanne climbed up
the curtain in back of the
stage.. pinned a sign..and..another
piece of string..(just where is all
your string coming from??)..that
read "24/7"..and..then..on the count
of 3..you all slid down the string..but..heehee..this
time..it wasn't the pole you landed
on..it was trace's hat!!!..
oh yes..you really
did that tracey!!..I have it in the
album..so it is true!!..poor
trace..he couldn't figure out why
his hat was wiggling all over his
head..he kept swatting at it..like
he was being attacked by bee's..or
something!!..or something is
right..but that wasn't the only
"surprise" trace got that night..it
seems our "girl from texas" had come
up with a way for trace to see
her..and ..sing "her" song..this
little trick also had some help from
our partner in crime.. someone had
to tell Kathryn when "her" song was
being sung..or how else would she
have know the precise moment to come
slidding down the string..yelling..
"YEEHAW" at the top of her little
lungs!!..oh yes ma'am..like I told
Tracey..if it's in the album...you
DID it!! that night was a goodie
in our history..you ladies were on a
roll!!..
not only did you land
in trace's hat..you..and..you
know who "you" were..when no one was
looking..strung christmas lights all
around it..so when he sang.."every
light"...they all lit up!!..then..you
were "groovin" to the
music..and.made the hat move even
more..bless trace..by that time..I
think he was enjoying "whatever" was
going on in his hat and was "groovin"
with you!!..when the song was
done..you were all going to slide
down his back and high tail it out
of there..only..a few got stuck
sliding down his shirt..ah
huh..right..poor trace was really "groovin"
then!
and..then for the
"best of the show"..a few decided to
take another route..and..slide down
his pony tail..yep..right down his
pony tail!!..I do believe it was
Kat.. Elise..Kim and Angela who were
the "culprits" on that little
trick!!!..and..they came away with
alittle hair..and the PONY TAIL
HOLDER!!
