well hello there
ladies!!..sure am glad that our old
friend "mr. genie" was able to fill
in for "mr.g" today and bring
you here today..we couldn't start
our "ramp building party" without
you..if it weren't for you and your
generosity we wouldn't be building
this ramp so i asked my "magic
buddy" to see if he could work his
"magic" so you could be here with us
today.. he did a real good job too..
by the surprise look on your faces i
can tell you didn't even know you
were riding in those big..soft
hands!!!.
so ladies..wanna do a little
building today??..some how i thought
you would so if you will follow me i
have a few surprises for you in the
house..oh..heehee..don't worry about
that "big blur" that just about
stepped on you..karla and
kathyrn..that's just our newest
member of the griswold family..his
name is bones and he only moves in
one speed.."super-duper fast"..he
may stop and try and give you a big
wet kiss but he won't hurt
you...once we get everyone all
"decked out" for "ramp" building
we'll put you up in some pockets so
you won't get "smushed" by all those
big..fast moving feet out there!!..
ok here we go..we
have some little hot pink hard hats
with you names on them..and yes..on
the back is a picture of trace..only
this time it's a picture of him
wearing a hard hat and tool
belt..it's one of him from that
"building blitz" show he was on a
little while ago on cmt..yeah..he
looked so "gooood" and i thought it
would be the perfect picture to go
on your hard hats..just be careful
not to get a crick in your neck
trying to look at the back of your
hat while you are wearing it..you'll
have lots of time to "drool" over
"the man and his tool belt"
later..and to go with your hard hats
are some hot pink tool belts..to
hold your very own hammers and screw
drivers!..uhhh..vicki and gina..i
think susy and tammy might need you
to help them fasten their
belts..they are going to get dizzy
going around and around in circles
trying to do it themselves .. and we
don't need any "dizzy" adkinette
builders out there!!..here
katie..your
hard hats is falling off..we might
have to "squish" your new perm down
a little to get it to stay on
tight!!..and ann..give me your
"blonde helmet" i'll keep it safe
for you.. don't think your hard hat
will go over it!!..alrighty..looks
like you are all set to go out
and build a "ramp"..let's go find
lil' red and her friend bre..i think
their pockets should be safe enough
for you all..can't have anyone
falling out and banging their
heads..don't want you to crack your
hardhats!! ;0)
lil' red and bre..you
guys are going to have to make sure
you walk softly since you are
carrying some very special "cargo"
in your pockets..no jumping over
those piles of wood no matter how
much fun it looks like..all we need
are for my not so graceful two "cows
in tu-tu's" to take a flying leap
and land flat on their behinds ..and.."squish" the
adkinettes that are riding in your
pockets!!..so..NO JUMPING!!..keep
both feet on the ground..i know it
will be hard for you to do..but i know
you can resist the tempation .. while
you take the ladies outside..i'm
going to make another pot of coffee
to go along with those yummy donuts
you brought with you..i'll hollar
when it's ready then you can take
the donuts out so everyone can take
a coffee/donut break..i wonder how
long it will take for the "adkinettes"
to start escaping from the pockets
and start getting into trouble!!
yoohoo!!!..coffee's ready..you can
take it and those boxes of donuts
and set them on the tailgate of the
truck..well..i see that your a few "adkinettes"
lighter in your pocket bre..i knew
it wouldn't take them long to escape
and get out there and see what they
can do to "help"..and if you turn
around lil' red i'll bet we'll find
out that your pockets are empty
too..those little "bugers" are
quick..let's just hope they can stay
out of the way off all those big
feet that are out there..but as
quick as they are i'm sure they'll
be able to stay out of harms
way..shhh..listen.. do you hear that
sound?..it's that tap..tap sound..i
think that the "adkinettes" have
decided that while everyone else is
chowing down on donuts..they are
going to a little building of their
own!! this i have to see!! ;0)
yep there they
are..susy..tammy and kathryn are
riding on top of the board that
vicki..gina and ann are trying to
carry..while katie and karla are
directing them where it goes..but
i'm not quite sure where they found
that little piece of
wood..and..where they are going to
put it!!..oh no!!!..down they all
go..think katie and karla needed a
microphone so that the others could
hear them..it might have kept them
from crashing into that extension
cord..it doesn't look too big to
us..but to them it's like a big
orange mountain!!..lucky for them
that "the big soft hand" was there
to pick them up..heehee..too bad
their hats slid down and covered
their eyes and they couldn't see
it..gina is still having trouble
getting her hat on straight..i see
that they all put on their hot pink
trace sunglasses on but they are all
cockeyed too!! katie and karla to
the rescue..now that they are all
put back together they are off and
running..who knows where they will
end up next!!
ahh ha..looks like they have decided
to hit the donuts now that everyone
else are back to work..good thing
that there were more donuts than
there were people so there are some
left overs!!..looks like they are
going to stack a couple of "mr.g's"
plastic buckets on top of each other
so they can get up to the tailgate
of the truck..and..the donuts!
must be the donuts
are all gone..cause i see a bunch of
"little hot pink dots" boppin all
over the place out there..
karla..kathryn and ann are "helping"
keep the nails picked up and gina
and vicki are trying to keep up with
"mr.g" as he goes back and forth
from his workshop to the front
yard..katie and tammy and susy look
like they are trying make a see-saw
out of the extra wood piled at the
end of the drive-way..yep..everyone
is busy working their little hearts
out to help build me a ramp!!..huh..it
doesn't look like it's going to
rain..so that can't be thunder i
hear.it almost sounds like a
chuckle...sniff..sniff..there is
that "smell"..the one that just
wraps itself around you like a big
ol' hug..but where can it be coming
from??..there is that sound
again!!..if i didn't know
better..na..couldn't be!!..could it?
wow..i can't believe that it's
done!!..i now have a beautiful
ramp.. oh and look...my "big fuzzy
red slipper" loves it too..now he
can go out the front door to the
front yard and not fall down the
steps ..we can even go get the mail
and the paper now!!..oh i don't know
what to say..oh..ok..lil' red wants
to take a picture of the deck..so
everyone line up..right there on the
railing..make sure everyone's hat is
on straight..and say CHEESE!!!!
5 hours later the
hammers have stopped..the drills are
quiet and the sawdust has settled
the donuts and sandwiches are all
gone the "big soft hand" has come
and taken the "adkinettes" home.. i'm
so glad that you all could be a part
of the "ramp building"!!..a BIG
TIME thank you all for making this
posible..we couldn't have done with
without you...you are
the BEST!!!..and now..i'm off to
take a ride down my
ramp..wheeeeeeeee!!!!! ;0)
